I finally added support to Flash Video (.flv) in Embedded Objects 2.1.1.
It’s working with a bunch of video sites:
There are a few rough edges, especially with YouTube HD videos, that should be fixed in the next version. Unfortunately, I couldn’t test it with Hulu, because the assholes block people outside US from viewing their videos.
I also removed the cache support from the quick list of downloads. Firefox doesn’t cache big files, and a lot of people were complaining that EO stopped working when downloading big files.
You can still try to download the file from the cache in the detail window.

Can’t seem to download Apple trailers. All I get are files that are a few K in size. Any idea what I need to do differently?
Aparently Apple changed the links to some of the HD videos. I will take a look to get this fixed ASAP.

This is a fantastic add-on – great piece of software. Quick suggestion. From a few MP3 blog sites that I visit where they use a random hash for the file name… it can get confusing when the little menu gets filled with files. It would be great to have a “Clear” button within the add-on menu so I do not have to the reload the page to figure out which song I just played.

I must be brain dead or something. I installed the package into Firefox, but I see no obvious net change after restarting the browser, and I still can’t seem to get the embedded MP3′s on planningcenteronline.com to download. They’ll play, but not download.
Hi, I’m sorry being being dumb but I can’t seem to make it work. Been trying on Youtube, but all I get is a tiny 26 or 118 kb file that doesn’t do anything exept says ‘an error has occured try back later’
what am I doing wrong?
Naw, I just can’t seem to get it work on youtube, (not tried other sites I must admit) It says it downloads many many megabytes… but then only shows the first few seconds then goes blank white… perhaps this is Youtube messing around with people.
would be great to see it working with eckharttolletv but then again you have to pay for subscription first. since i’m already subscribed, could i help with this?
